Whatever the day held for you yesterday, I hope that you enjoyed your Australia Day and had the chance to catch up with family or friends.  Michelle and I took some time out to go to a friend’s party and enjoy their lovely new house on the water at the Gold Coast.  Met some interesting new people and shared a few laughs!  But, back to business today.

One of the comments I had back from our recent survey was that it’s difficult to make money with the free tips when there are  What I always say to all our members and subscribers is that to make a profit on punting you need to:

1. Choose a strategy that works for you.
2. Practice patience and stick to your strategy.
3. Always look for value every time you place a bet.

Strategy choices could include: percentage punt on each horse, flat stake, box quinellas, trifectas and more.  I do find that there are quite a few people who are not sure about percentage punting and if you are interested, check out the articles on the website or give me a call on 1300 RACEBIZ and we can have a chat.

Point (2) is just as important.  We all know that punting has its ups and downs but if you stick with your strategy overall you will come out a winner.

As you may know, I punt using Betfair as my platform as this is where you will get the best odds, and, for me, I have a software package that I use that allows me to place my bets directly whilst watching the money movements.  Again, if you would like to know more, give me a call and I can help with this and show you how to get more information about market movements just before the race.

Looking back at last Wednesday’s selections for the members, when I was putting them together, I did less races as it was difficult to find suitable races and anything that looked like ti would have value.

I ended up going with races from Benella, Ballarat and Launceston – some night racing for those members who are not able to punt during the day on Wednesdays.

Results for Free Tips Wednesday 24 January – hope you backed the long shot at Benalla!
