First off, I would like to express my thanks to everyone who sent through birthday wishes last week. Turning 60 is a pretty big milestone but for me it is still just a number – and Michelle keeps telling me that “sixty is the new forty”! Not sure about that but I know better and won’t argue!
We also ran a little competition to see who could make me laugh out loud (lol for the younger generation!), and ended up with two winners. Congratulations to Martin and Brett who will be punting with us for the next month), and here’s their jokes:

And, of course, the big news at the moment is that without Hugh Bowman, WINX won’t be running next week. If I was the trainer I would have made the same call – why change a winning combination? She is such a magnificent horse and the whole nation will stop to watch when she does run.
Last Wednesday seems like ages ago now, but let’s take a look at the results:
Tipped in 10 races for 7 winners (with 3 NO BETS), plus 5 Quinellas, 3 Trifectas and 2 x F4 for the day, and frustratingly 2nd place in each of the 3 races where we didn’t tip the winner!
Not a lot of value, and three winners as NO BETS, meant the Dutch Betting strategy based on $25 per race and Betfair odds showed a loss of $14.00 for the day. Often Launceston will bring home a couple of outsiders to pull the day back into Positive returns, but not today! Even though tipped two F4 (see below).
