Melbourne Cup 2017. I have been working hard on the form for the last few days and have had the privilege of helping to run a couple of Calcuttas, so it has been and interesting lead up.
As the races will be starting quite early at Flemington, I will be aiming to have the selections up by about 9am Brisbane time (10am Daylight Savings Time)…..as long as there are no glitches!
Derby Day last Saturday. It was a good day for members with Cismontane and Ace High both coming home. This gave Cismontane entrance into the Melbourne Cup and I will definitely have my eye on this one!

We had a fun afternoon on Sunday at BURLEIGH WATERS TAVERN – it was the first time I had been asked to stand up and talk about all the horses in the Melbourne Cup. I was a bit nervous as I am used to being in the background, not standing up with a microphone in my hand but overall it went well.
