Race 5 – BM – 64 HANDICAP – 2400m – last 600 37.04

Lofty Heights: Gave a front running display that was an indication of how fit and how well trained the horse was. A wet tracker by is action

Cadre Du Noir:  Has taken time to get fit and lived up to his rating. A great contender for better races over the carnival. Won in style

Steward’s Report Cadre Du Noir Raced keenly in the middle stages. Near the 1400m commenced a run three wide before crossing to obtain the lead. Near the 1900m was restrained to avoid the heels of Monmouth (J. McNeil) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear. Post-race veterinary examination of Cadre Du Noir identified the presence of blood at one nostril. Under the provisions of AR79(8) will be required to undergo a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000 metres in the presence of a Steward before racing again.

Race 8 – Memsie Stakes – Group 1 – 1400m – last 600 35.32
