Steward’s Report Cadre Du Noir Raced keenly in the middle stages. Near the 1400m commenced a run three wide before crossing to obtain the lead. Near the 1900m was restrained to avoid the heels of Monmouth (J. McNeil) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear. Post-race veterinary examination of Cadre Du Noir identified the presence of blood at one nostril. Under the provisions of AR79(8) will be required to undergo a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000 metres in the presence of a Steward before racing again.
