Its’ been an eventful week, and I would like to thank everyone again for all the warm and sometimes funny birthday wishes. Enough about me and back to the racing!
Back during the Melbourne Cup carnival, I tipped ASPECT as a black booker. He makes his return today at Caulfield in Race 5. I feel that he is a real racehorse and one to keep an eye on, though he may not be quite ready today and will come into his own soon.
You might also be interested to know that Racing Victoria’s pledge to boost metropolitan prizemoney begins at Caulfield today. This will see tet value of more than 180 races increase to a minimum of $100,000 across the course of the year. This is to ensure that owners and trainers are both rewarded for campaigning their horse in Melbourne and have the confidence to invest in new stock, including the upcoming Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale. It’s no secret that my favourite tracks are in Melbourne, so I see this as good news all round!
