Be warned, my partner Michelle has hijacked part of today’s email as you can see from the picture above and her comments below! Before she takes over to tell you how YOU can get a present for MY birthday, I wanted to have a little chat about Saturday’s racing.
One thing I really hate to see is 2nd, 3rd and 4th cos I think that winners are grinners, and it frustrates me when I get close but don’t end up with the prize. We saw several results like this in our member’s selections last Saturday, and for the free tips JEST FOR THE ROAD came in 2nd (was recommended to back each way) and no result for TOP ME UP. Some feedback that I had recently about the free tips was “you get what you pay for, I guess”. Trust me, I am just as disappointed as you when I don’t get a winner, and I do put time and effort into looking for value on the free tips.
Having said that, we did end up with a pretty good outcome for our members:
- FLEMINGTON tipped in 7 races for 4 winners, 3 quinellas, 3 Trifectas and 1 First Four.
- SUNSHINE COAST tipped in 5 races for 5 winners and 2 Quinellas.
- Both meetings saw winners with good value – paying up to $27.00 (on Betfair)
- Durch Strategy outcome based on outlay of $25 per race was profit of $284.90
- Winners in best boxed Trifectas and First fours for the professionals. And this would have been better if I had recommended to rover rather than banker in a couple of races. But that’s punting!
